Wirepas prepares for massive growth, brings in Chief Revenue Officer, and strengthens Smart Grids
Wirepas, the leading IoT connectivity provider, is adding Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to its leadership. The new role accommodates the significant growth driven by both the existing portfolio and the new non-cellular 5G and puts a high focus on seamless sales and marketing across all key verticals. The company appoints Jason Bellman, a seasoned growth and transformation leader to the role, effective immediately.

Bringing in an experienced and skilled Chief Revenue Officer like Jason will help capture and manage the growth,” says Teppo Hemiä, CEO of Wirepas.
Bellman joins Wirepas from Sierra Wireless where he held Vice President positions for Global Connectivity, the EMEA region, and Customer, Carrier Partnerships & Transformation. He had a key role in the transformation from HW only to include cloud and connectivity. Before that, he has held various leadership positions at BT Group, EE, and Orange, with a successful track record of leading businesses across telecoms and the IoT markets.
The new CRO position will also allow Wirepas to refocus its sales efforts: “Smart grids is
the biggest and hottest opportunity just now, worth billions of euros and led by emerging countries like India. There’s a huge demand, and we need the full attention of our best people to manage that. With the arrival of Jason, our current head of sales, Jani Vehkalahti, SVP of Smart Grids, will be able to take the lead and fully focus on driving our Smart Grid business and become the market leader in smart metering connectivity,” Hemiä adds.
