Hey hey, our partners making waves

After reading Gartner’s latest Magic Quadrant report for Indoor Location Services, we’re happy to see our partners in it—Inpixon as a leader in the field and Kinexon as a visionary. We’re very very happy to see our partners succeed.

On an annual basis, The Magic Quadrant evaluates the global market in different fields, Indoor Location Services in this case. The idea is to assess the product's vision and effectiveness in deploying it for customers.

This is how Gartner defines Leaders:

”Vendors in the Leaders quadrant will have demonstrated an ability to fulfill a broad variety of customer requirements through the breadth of their indoor location services solutions. Leaders will have the ability to provide complete and differentiating capabilities as part of their indoor location offerings. This includes global service and support. Leaders should have demonstrated the ability to shape the market, maintain strong relationships with their channels and customers, and have no obvious gaps in their portfolios.”

This is how Gartner defines Visionaries:

”Vendors in the Visionaries quadrant will have demonstrated an ability to increase features in their offerings to provide unique and differentiated approaches to the market. A Visionary will have innovated in one or more of the key areas of its indoor location solution within the enterprise (such as granularity, differing usage scenarios, locating all assets requiring location services or reducing the overall solution costs). The ability to apply differentiating functionality across the entire access layer will affect its position.”

Well done. But we got our part as well. As a connectivity provider working in multiple fields, we will most likely dodge the quadrant itself. But it does mean we’re not noted. Instead, we got an Honorable Mention in the report. That’s nice too, but as a Finnish company, it’s in our DNA not to be too content about ourselves but happy for our partners.
