Orange Business Services complements their smart tracking offer with Wirepas
1 December 2021 – Wirepas, a Finnish company on a mission to democratize IoT, announces its partnership with Orange Business Services, a leader in telecom and enterprise IT services. The collaboration will focus on large-scale indoor asset tracking, allowing the customers of Orange Business Services to identify and locate business assets anywhere, at any time, as well as carry out an inventory of up to 5000 devices per pallet, with perfect accuracy, in a minute.
The Orange Business Services smart tracking offer uses Wirepas Massive, a mesh technology-based scalable connectivity software for massive IoT. Wirepas Massive, designed for large and high-density networks, makes it easy to deploy a network without scale or surface limits and without any infrastructure or cables. Installation times can be as short as a day and do not interrupt on-site activities.
In addition, an application by Orange, when used in SaaS mode, enables viewing the tracking of objects on a basemap dedicated to indoor use. The detection of entry and exit of assets from a dedicated area, among other things, triggers an email or an alert from the application.
Orange Business Services benefits from the large Wirepas ecosystem that meets the diverse demands for hardware, from the most basic to the most specific. Thanks to the large selection, integrating Wirepas technology makes the devices not only traceable but also capable of inter-communication. The technology is also based on industrial gateways allowing interoperability between an on-premises Wirepas network and any type of server or cloud. The Wirepas Massive software brick can be embedded in a BLE Nordic Semiconductor or Silicon Labs chipset.
Wirepas Massive enriches Orange Business Services smart tracking offer by making it available to a variety of industries such as smart buildings, healthcare, construction and manufacturing but also for cases such as museums for the security of art works.
"We are excited to count Orange Business Services among our integrators. The ease of deployment and use of Wirepas technology allows its installation at any company, and brings concrete results: saving time, securing and traceability of assets. Finally, our large ecosystem of partners allows for a wide choice of hardware, whether off-the-shelf or tailor-made," concludes Youssef Kamel, SVP Smart Tracking at Wirepas.
Wirepas is a leading IoT company with a mission to democratize enterprise IoT. It aims to make failure-free connectivity accessible to any enterprise of any size. It makes IoT real through its connectivity software enabling massive decentralized, scalable, high-density, and long-range network applications. Its technology lets any enterprise set up and manage its own network autonomously without operators, separate network infrastructure, middlemen or subscriptions - at a fraction of the cost of other alternatives. It’s biggest deployment to date is 920,000 devices in one single network. Wirepas is also the main contributor to the first non-cellular 5G standard, purpose-built for massive IoT and using a free global spectrum.
