Wirepas joins the Connectivity Standards Alliance embracing the IoT interoperability initiative
Wirepas, the leader in large-scale industrial IoT connectivity, announces its membership in the Connectivity Standards Alliance. Wirepas has previously stated that the IoT playground is fragmented and complex, and they are here to assist in changing the status quo with their autonomous connectivity. With more than 550 member companies, the Connectivity Standards Alliance offers a unique collaboration framework in the IoT by developing, evolving, and promoting universal open standards that enable all objects to securely connect and interact.
As the IoT market grows and matures, standards are becoming increasingly important to ensure that devices and systems can work together effectively. Users want to choose their IoT devices based on their features and quality rather than worry about device compatibility. The Alliance recently introduced Matter 1.0, one single protocol to connect compatible devices and systems with one another in a secure, reliable, and seamless way. By joining the Connectivity Standards Alliance, Wirepas offers its experience with the non-cellular 5G DECT NR+ standard to help the Alliance bringthe IoT connectivity to the next level.
"We’re excited to join the Connectivity Standards Alliance and play an active role in shaping the future of IoT. By collaborating with other industry leaders, we aim to advance the development of open and interoperable standards that will drive the growth of IoT and benefit all stakeholders." says Teppo Hemiä, CEO of Wirepas
”We are very excited to welcome Wirepas to the Alliance,” said Chris LaPre, Head of Technology, Connectivity Standards Alliance. “Wirepas has been a pivotal contributor to the groundbreaking NR+ ETSI standard and we are looking forward to having them share their perspectives and make an impact, especially given their expertise and proven success in massive mesh IoT.”
